About Artist:
Bahman Borojeni, celebrated as a portrait master artist throughout his career, began his artistic journey by earning his diploma from the Tehran Academy of Fine Arts. Under the guidance of esteemed professors such as Hossein Behzad and Shokooh Riazi, he developed his skills in miniature and design. Graduating with bachelor's and master's degrees in painting from the Faculty of Decorative Arts in 1962, Borojeni furthered his studies in France, pursuing a Ph.D. in Islamic art at Sorbonne University. He later became a faculty member and served as the dean at the Faculty of Decorative Arts and was instrumental in the establishment of Tarbiat Modares University.
Borojeni's artistic evolution has been marked by diverse influences and experimentation. From his early academic focus on anatomy and composition to incorporating modernist construction techniques inspired by his French mentors, he continually pushed the boundaries of his artistry. His bold and vibrant paintings, characterized by abstract and figurative elements, have been exhibited globally and admired for their bold colors and brisk brushstrokes. Under the influence of a metaphysical perspective, Borojeni's works evoke a sense of infinite journey and mystical behavior, drawing comparisons to the styles of renowned artists such as Broglovar and Gustav.
