About Artist:
Morteza Momayez, a versatile artist born in Tehran, left an indelible mark on contemporary Iranian graphics as a designer, illustrator, painter, teacher, and art writer. From his humble beginnings painting signs for shops as a teenager to founding Iran Hall and teaching graphic design, Momayez's innovative spirit and dedication reshaped the landscape of Iranian art. His pioneering work in graphic media, cultural posters, book covers, and signage, coupled with his leadership in organizing exhibitions, exemplified his commitment to advancing artistic expression in society.
After completing his studies in interior design in France, Momayez returned to Iran and continued to expand his artistic endeavors, particularly in abstract writing and poster design. His profound influence extended beyond Iran, drawing inspiration from the Polish school of design and incorporating techniques such as photomontage and collage into his work. Through his mastery of typography, page layout, and visual messaging, Momayez's legacy as a visionary artist and educator continues to resonate in the realm of graphic design.
